My Recommended Movie “The Shawshank Redemption”

The Shawshank Redemption was released in the United States on September 10, 1994, and in Japan on June 3, 1995. This movie was directed by Frank Darabont. He also directed movie works such as The Green Mile starring Tom Hanks and The Mist starring Thomas Jane, as well as TV dramas such as The Walking Dead over 10 seasons. 

The Shawshank Redemption stars Morgan Freeman as Red and Tim Robbins as Andy. Morgan Freeman has appeared in Red, Driving Miss Daisy, and the Batman series. Also, Tim Robbins has appeared in War of the Worlds and Mystic River. 

The Shawshank Redemption is a drama movie. It's based on the 1982 Stephen King novel “Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption”. It is the story of Andy, who was imprisoned for false accusation, becomes friends with Red, who has been in the corrupt prison for many years. They survive by hope in the prison. Their performance is really amazing. In particular, Red's dignity and relaxed tone, and Andy's never-quit spirit in prison life, and his serious expression are very impressive. Their friendship really moves me. 

Morgan Freeman won the Academy Award for Best Actor for this movie. It is said that Tim Robbins was also a candidate. Also, the movie has a lot of hints in it, so when you watch it again you'll discover new things. I highly recommend this movie.
